Course Description

A highly interactive course that meets the needs for persons who want to learn about family mediation. 

Participants learn and understand how to apply mediation principles, strategies and techniques to family disputes.

This course is also accredited with the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago and is part of the requirements to be certified to mediate family matters.

You will explore and learn how to:

  • Apply mediation principles, strategies and techniques to family disputes. 

  • Develop skills and knowledge required of a mediator in family disputes involving custody, access, child support, property issues and spousal support.

SESSION DATES & TIMES

This course will be a hybrid of both online and in-person interactive classroom sessions and breakout groups, with practical training. 

The course will run for two (2) consecutive weeks in January-February 2025.

  • Week 1: Mon 27 to Thurs 30 (all online); Fri 31 (in-person) [January]
  • Week 2: Mon 3 to Thurs 6 (all online); Fri 7 (in-person) [February]

*Session times:

  • In-person sessions: 9am - 5pm
  • Online sessions: 1pm - 4pm
